Matcha Bowl à la Summer

Hi, newbies! I am so excited to finally post my very first article here on this blog.

Today, we're having a little cooking moment because I want to share one of my most favourite breakfast recipes ever. I bumped into this one last summer and thought that it was a perfect breakfast for hot summer days especially.

It is called the

Matcha Bowl


And you might have already seen this picture before if you follow me on Instagram since I have once posted the recipe just there.

Firstly, I would like to inform those who have never heard about Matcha Tea before. It is a very pure green tea which possesses a very exceptional way of cultivation. The plants are shaded approximately 20 days before harvest and the lack of almost 90 % of sunshine causes the leaves to produce much more chlorophyll than normally. (Chlorophyll is a plant pigment responsible for the green colour of plants.) Matcha tea is known for its antibacterial effect and is considered to be very healthy.

All you need is:
  • blueberries, peaches (or other kinds of fruit)
  • soya/coconut milk (coconut milk will give it a nice, sweet flavour but I only had a soya one in my fridge)
  • coconut tapioca
  • 2 grams bag of Matcha Tea (equals 0,5 tsp I guess)
Prepare a smoothie from all the listed ingredients. You may add some water or ice to make it a little more refreshing. Pour the smoothie into a bowl and decorate it with blueberries and peaches again, mint leaves, chia seeds, or coconut flakes. You can also serve it with a little honey or plant syrup.
